Tessera · for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV
Every show you’re watching, in one list. Tessera keeps your place across your streaming apps — and gets you back in with one tap. The whole picture.
Free to join. No spam — a short progress note about once a month, and your invite when it’s ready. Share your link after joining to move up the list.
Every streaming service remembers only its own shows. The built-in TV app promised one Up Next, but it never got Netflix. So every night starts with the same two questions.
Tessera keeps your place in everything, in one list. Tap a show and it opens the right app — straight to your episode on many of the big services, to the show page on the rest, and always labeled so you know before you tap. Track an episode in a second. Get back to watching.
Netflix, HBO Max, Disney+, Hulu, Prime Video, Paramount+, Peacock, Apple TV+ — one list on your iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, in the room where you actually watch.
Import your saved TV Time export, Trakt history, or a CSV. And export everything, anytime. Your watch history should never die with an app again.
Halfway through a show that’s about to leave the service? Tessera tells you before it disappears, so you can finish — or let it go on purpose.
No account required. No feed. No ads.
Just your shows, ready to play.
On your Apple devices, your history syncs through your own iCloud — what you watch never touches our servers. And it’s always yours to take: export is built in, and it’s always free.
A note from the developer
I’m building Tessera because my own shows are scattered across eight apps, and every night started with the same ritual: open Netflix — no, it was on Max — wait, which episode was I on? The app that was supposed to fix this never got Netflix on board, and the trackers that tried either shut down and took everyone’s history with them, or started charging $60 a year for the privilege.
So here’s my deal with you. On iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, Tessera works without an account — your history lives on your devices and in your own iCloud, and I never see it. Export is built in, one tap, and it will never move behind a paywall. Subscribe to Pro and any future price increase applies to new subscribers only — never to your active subscription. Your shows are yours. That’s the whole deal.

Yes — if you saved your TV Time GDPR export (the ZIP) before the July 15 shutdown, Tessera reads it directly. Trakt exports and plain CSVs work too. Sadly, new TV Time exports are no longer possible — the service deleted all account data at shutdown.
If you’re tired of the one-connected-app limit and $60/yr VIP pricing, yes. Tessera works without an account — it syncs through your own iCloud, imports your Trakt history, and costs a fraction of VIP, with a free tier that covers tracking, import, export, and sync.
That depends on the service, and Tessera tells you honestly, right on the card. On iPhone and iPad, many of the big services open straight to your episode; others open to the show page. On Apple TV, Tessera is your Up Next on the big screen and launches apps where the service allows it. Services change their links without warning — keeping them working is part of the job, and each show always says exactly what a tap will do.
Free to track, import, export, and sync. A Pro tier (around the price of one month of one streaming service, per year) adds the power features. Early waitlist members get first access and founding-member pricing.
Tessera is for iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV — a real Apple TV app, not an afterthought. All three launch together, this year.
TestFlight early access opens this fall, in waves — earliest signups first. iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV launch together, starting with the core: your one Up Next, imports, fast check-in, and one-tap launch, with features like leaving-soon alerts landing as the beta grows. Join the list above and you’ll get your invite by email.
