TV Time shut down on July 15, 2026, and deleted all account data with it. If you saved your GDPR export ZIP before the deadline — whether from gdpr.tvtime.com or a rescue tool like TV Time Out — your watch history isn’t lost. Tessera reads it directly.
How the import works
- Your saved TV Time ZIP: Tessera reads the GDPR export as-is — shows, episodes watched, and your place in each season.
- Already moved to Trakt or Simkl? Import from their exports instead. Twice-migrated history comes through fine.
- No export saved? A plain CSV works, and Tessera’s setup is built to rebuild your Up Next fast — search a show, mark where you are, done.
Why Tessera won’t repeat the TV Time story
TV Time’s shutdown taught everyone the same lesson: check the export button before you trust an app with years of history. So here’s ours, up front:
- No account required. Your history syncs through your own iCloud — not a company database that can be shut down or sold.
- Export anytime. Your full history, one tap, standard format. Always free — it will never move behind a paywall.
- One tap back into your shows. Tap a show in your Up Next and Tessera opens the right streaming app — straight to your episode on many of the big services, to the show page on the rest, always labeled so you know before you tap. Tracking is the memory — the tap is the point.
